After many hours of travel, we arrived in the land of Hamlet, pickled fish, rye bread, and literally 15 hours of New Year’s Eve fireworks. (Apparently, there is a ban on fireworks that is lifted from the 27th of December until the 1st of January. So, obviously EVERYONE needed to fire some off)

We spent the first two nights being totally spoiled at a hotel in Copenhagen. I think KC, my well traveled pup, thought we were going to live there. She loved going up and down the elevator and smiling at people in the lobby.

We are now in Aarhus! Finally! Tomorrow marks my first day in my new lab. It feels like the first day of school in a lot of ways. My last several jobs had much more fluid starts. This feels very punctuated.
